Services

Activities of UAB Žalvaris, collection and management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, are based on the implementation of the environmental mission. We are inviting our customers to become partners of this mission, which takes care for cleaning of nature.

The Company is engaged in collection, sorting, recycling and export of hazardous waste (used accumulators, dampers, motor oil, fuel and air filters, used lubricants, etc.), galvanic elements, waste electrical and electronic equipment, non-ferrous and ferrous scrap metals and their alloys, secondary raw materials (metal and plastic packaging).

For customers interested in waste collection and management we offer:

  • Collection and management of all waste generated in the activities of companies providing maintenance of motor vehicles.
  • Complex collection of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. We collect, recycle or refer to other waste management companies hazardous and other waste generated by enterprises in their direct operations.
  • Consultations on different environment matters, collecting information about waste management in the company.
  • Specialised containers for collection of respective waste supplied by the Company UAB Žalvaris to enterprises which have signed with it the agreement on management of waste generated during business operations. Employees of UAB Žalvaris take care of regular removal of accumulated waste. Waste is removed depending upon generated quantities, but no less than once in 3 months.

The Company purchases waste, accepts it free of charge or for a certain fee depending upon market situation. More detail information on these matters is provided by representatives.

At present the Company has more than 20 waste purchasing sites and over 1,200 special stationary outlets - specialised containers throughout Lithuania. Containers are placed in motor repair centres, enterprises where large quantities of used motor oil and other waste generated in the course of maintenance and repairs of motor vehicles are accumulated.

Major part of waste is collected and recycled in the largest branch of UAB Žalvaris - Waste Recovery Centre. The Company has in place the integrated environmental and quality management system in line with requirements of LST EN ISO 14001:2005 and LST EN ISO 9001:2001 standards.
